2-chapter. International experience of organizing distance education
- In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, measures have been taken to organize distance learning with the World Health Organization.
- There is no uniform format for distance learning in the United States, each teacher chooses the format independently. The most common types of lectures: (1) course capture (the teacher gives a lecture in a classroom equipped with a camera, and after that the recording of the lecture is entered into the system), (2) Video lecture on Zoom (Learners can ask questions in chat or by voice), (3) self-learning of materials by students without a teacher.
US universities independently determine the forms of organization of the educational process and the types of training, considers effective social distancing schedules and determines quarantine regime when necessary.
Stages of organization of teaching in US universities:
1) 1-stage - to any class that is offered/delivered entirely using remote methods, to the event, refers to a meeting or meeting. 1-stage is a course in which all learning objectives are achieved and assessed using a variety of distance learning methods. The distance methods used are synchronous and/or asynchronous;
2) 2-stage through hybrid modality – to any class where it is appropriate to spend at a distance and in close proximity, to the event, refers to a meeting or meeting. 2-stage is a course in which all learning objectives are achieved and assessed through distance learning; however, priority is given to achieving some learning objectives through face-to-face interaction between students and the teacher. For example, laboratory courses; clinical experience;
3) 3-stage – delivery to any classroom that requires face-to-face interaction, to the event, refers to a meeting or meeting. This is a course in which all learning objectives are achieved and assessed only through the use of various teaching methods at the institution.
- In the UK, traditional full-time teaching in small groups and blended learning is offered when there is no possibility to come to the country due to a number of reasons caused by the pandemic..
The University of Cambridge has decided to move all lectures to an online format. Daytime classes are allowed only for small groups of students while observing the principles of social distancing.
- Canada The academic year at the university from small courses, from seminars, with blended learning consisting of laboratory sessions and on-campus learning, and large ones are planned to be organized with combined training, which is coordinated with distance courses and lectures. For this, a website has been created to support teachers in online learning. On-campus research is limited to those who need on-campus resources and cannot do this work remotely. Most faculty and staff work remotely.
- In China, universities ClassIn all classes, Converted to online format through Canvas electronic platforms and university website. At the same time, POK will have several opportunities to read lectures: (1) lectures in live mode, (2) pre-recorded lectures, (3) webinars, (4) public open online courses (AS WELL). Materials are uploaded to the website of the university. Some universities offer online psychological support, thesis management online, online employment counseling and other electronic services are provided. Asking questions and asking for help from students and teachers, per day 16 You will have access to a chat that works around the clock.
- In Australia, universities use pre-recorded lectures to give students more flexibility in their studies. Students themselves choose an interesting lecture, has the right to manage educational content. At the same time, pre-recorded lectures are divided into parts. Students do not have to listen to all the lectures, instead, it can use section navigation. In general, this method is very suitable for students, because they are less dependent on Internet speed and have more resources to repeat the material in the future.
- Malaysia To study online with the Ministry of Higher Education 31 a decision was made to pass completely by December. The following category of students is not included in the list: 1) masters/ doctoral students, to them in laboratories, in workshops, It is necessary and permissible to continue research based on the need to participate in design studios (public and private universities); 2) graduates, clinical work to complete university studies, practical tasks, Graduates who needed to work in design studios were allowed to work on campus, but also those without technical skills can return to the campus to conduct the specified works; 3) students with special needs.

4-chapter. 2020-2021 teaching formats during the academic year
- Social in certain areas, emergency situations of natural and man-made nature are threatened, In order to ensure the quality of education in the event of the implementation of restrictive measures by the relevant state bodies when a state of emergency is introduced, the work of educational organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan can be organized in different formats.
On the basis of the preparation directions of the ROAK, the ХОКБУ works 2020 of the year 20 until August, methodological recommendations on the directions of its activities (holding lectures and practical online classes, According to the format of assigning tasks to the SSR, List of online resources and virtual labs for individual subjects, on assessment methods, on methods of conducting exams and organizing practice, etc.) developed, directs to all CSIROs.
- The head of the World Health Organization is connected with the threat of the infectious disease of the coronavirus, including online courses and distance education technologies and tools in the educational process (LMS, e-mail, messengers, webinar systems, chats and more) issues an order on the organization of the educational process considering its application.
- By the decision of the collegiate body of the University of Ukraine, it makes appropriate changes and additions to its Academic Policy, own organization, online courses available on the basis of other organizations, Approves the list of KAOK, the principle of recognition of formal and informal learning results, determines the procedure for retesting academic credits, takes measures to create an appropriate electronic information and educational environment.
- When transitioning to a distance learning format:
1) the teacher decides whether to use an existing online course on a specific subject or to hold classes using distance education technologies;
2) no agreements with teachers are required when changing the teaching format of a subject with the use of online courses or a complete replacement;
3) Any educational format is an approved curriculum of subjects (syllabus) is carried out within;
4) On the official website or information system of the Higher Education Institution of Higher Education and Higher Education, information on the deadlines for conducting online courses is displayed, indicating the end date of the registration of students for online courses..
- It is allowed to use mixed models of distance learning: synchronous or asynchronous learning, online nemese offline, mixed, alternative lecture formats such as webinars or providing access to pre-recorded lectures by instructors; Conducting seminar classes in the form of remote performance of tasks during the seminars in accordance with the schedule in force at the university, and others.
Conducting lectures online 20 minutes are allowed, at the same time, students are given a complete context or a complete presentation of the lectures. Online lectures are held according to the approved schedule.
- Learners are encouraged to choose well-known educational platforms or online courses from leading universities to master their educational programs.
- The student of the online course of ХОПХПХ uses the identity verification technology for online certification.
- There are two main models that can be used by the IPCC:
1) holding classes in distance learning format;
2) take private online courses or online courses developed by leading universities.
In the first case, the university transfers its individual courses to the distance learning format (LMS, can use available platforms) and learner connection algorithm and user manuals, offers a current schedule of classes.
In the second case, it is an online course that students should learn (courses) offers and provides students with an algorithm to join the platform (For example, Sourcera courses). The online course is a distance learning course with seminar classes and independent homework.
In the process of mastering the online course, the teacher of ХХОКБУ, where the student is studying, provides educational and methodological support, conducts current control and intermediate certification.
- The consent of the learner to the processing of personal data and acceptance of the requirements of the user agreement of the online platform is formalized in accordance with the policy of the ХОПХСЫ.
- If it is not possible to hold classes remotely (for subjects requiring work with specialized equipment or software) is recommended:
1) Organization of learning of practical subjects in small groups in different shifts, keeping all the sanitary and epidemiological requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) making changes to the schedule of training sessions related to the transfer of laboratory/practical work to later periods. For example, In the period from October to December, taking into account SER, in the campus area 2-4(5) It is recommended to organize laboratory classes for course students; at the same time, lessons are organized in a module format;
3) To hold classroom classes on the campus 65 It is not recommended to involve persons over the age of 18 and persons who are in dispensary records due to illness.
- The offline learning model consists of learning with software that is disconnected from the network at the time of use, or in other words, it's not real time, the interaction of two or more participants in the process of distance learning through some time interval.
- Synchronous (at the same time) The teaching model is Skype according to the approved schedule of the teacher, Microsoft Teams, to academic groups through CiscoWebEx and other platforms (to drums) is implemented by organizing video conferences or webinars. Students must join this event and take an active part in it.
- Asynchronous (at different times) learning model LMS of educational organizations, Open edX, Coursera and other educational platforms; LMS Moodle, provided by using electronic corporate mails.
When using asynchronous work, team members and the teacher work at different times for a long time. The main platform of work – LMS of an educational organization. Tasks located in the relevant chapters of the subjects in the LMS should be completed in a timely and clear manner. To check completed tasks for students to check (Word, Excel files or scanned copies, screenshots, in the form of pictures and others)is obliged to carry out continuous monitoring of attendance and ongoing monitoring of progress.
If necessary, the teacher can organize face-to-face consultation on the subject. The teacher is also Open edX, Courses that are publicly available on Coursera platforms (parts of the course); can use other educational organizations using blended learning.
- Blended Learning (blended learning) - this is a special organization of training that allows simultaneous use of modern learning technology in the classroom and electronic distance environment. The concept of learning called blended-learning combines the effectiveness and speed of e-learning types with the social aspects of general learning.
