Significant Historical Milestones of the College
KGP “Almaty Kazakh Humanitarian Pedagogical College No. 1” is an educational institution with an up-to-date education system, an open information environment and modern infrastructure, where professional specialists in demand on the labor market work, capable of working with new technologies.
Significant historical milestones of the college:
1978 – Almaty City Preschool Pedagogy Teacher Training College.
1990 – Almaty Pedagogical College No. 1.
1994 – Almaty Kazakh Pedagogical College No. 1.
1995 – Granted college status.
1999 – Scientific and methodological experimental platform of the Kazakh Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin.
1999–2016 – Republican educational and methodological association for pedagogical specialties.
2000 – Winner of the Akim of Almaty financial award.
2001 – Grand prize winner of the “Republican Best College of the Year” competition.
2008 – State Public Utility “Almaty Kazakh State Humanitarian Pedagogical College No. 1”.
2014–2018 – Pilot educational institution implementing the “Self-Knowledge” spiritual and moral program into the pedagogical process.
2017–2018 – Ranked 2nd among pedagogical colleges in the ranking of interdisciplinary colleges of the “KasiPkor” Holding in the republic.
2019 – Basic educational institution for implementing the “Self-Knowledge” spiritual and moral program into the pedagogical process.
2019 – Received certificates of institutional and specialized accreditation from the Kazakhstan Independent Accreditation Center.
2022 – Passed a new format of attestation.
2024 – KGP “Almaty Kazakh Humanitarian Pedagogical College No. 1”.
Material and Technical Base:
Total land area – 1.3 ha; Design capacity – 750.
Total area of educational buildings – 6294.4 sq.m., main building built in 1962, additional building in 2018, 15 classrooms and library equipped with new modifications;
Library fund – 60,000 copies, library has a reading room, a bookcrossing corner equipped with modern devices. Number of classrooms – 22; Multimedia classrooms – 4; Educational laboratories – 4; Interactive panels and boards – 43, monoblocks – 52, laptops – 56, computers – 40.
Student dormitory – 300 beds; Canteen – 125 seats
Assembly hall – 338 seats; Sports halls – 418 sq.m.; Football field – 800 sq.m. To prevent safety and create conditions, safe access is provided with 42 external and 117 internal video cameras, 4 Face ID terminals, 2 turnstiles, 3 ramps, specialized security and monitoring system.
